So I was waiting for my third thing to happen before I wrote another entry. And then a flurry of rush and hush occurred. Last night was good though. I napped my night away for once.
Here we go. Contributing factors to my parking ticket.
1. I bought myself a mushroom pizza. Had I been a normal carnivore, I could have gotten the ones warming on the shelf. But since I wanted a special one I had to wait a few more minutes as they cooked it. This cost me time.
2. The guy was slow. Had to put that in
3. New digital parking meters were installed. Sure we got rid of the always broken meter problem but now we are down to a nickel every 2 minutes. That is just less than I am used to.
4. Meter lady is a cow. I hate them so much.
5. I walk too slow.
So I got myself a big fat 35 buck ticket in the busy part of sf. I figure I spend about 5 a day on lunch so no lunch for 7 days to cover it. That was bad luck number 1.
Later that day as I came back from Fremont, I received a call from my uncle, "Did you pick up Alpine Lab?" Oh yeah, I forgot to go there. Yes, all the way back in Oakland. My workday was done but now I have to waste 3 hours. Yay. This is bad luck number 2.
And so I waited for number 3 to appear and it snuck it's head in Friday afternoon. Smelled something fishy as I approached Lombard Street on my way to the Golden Gate. Really smells. Then I noticed steam coming from the hood. Then I noticed temperature way in the red. I pulled over on Broadway and took a look at my bubbling water reservoir. Number 3 is done and I can relax. I was actually sorta glad it was over.
Later that night while driving the car home from sf to take advantage of cool temperatures I took the 11th street exit as I always did to get home. I hit all greens on the way. Oh year... good luck is a coming!!!!
Stayed in Reno and skiied the weekend away with Pak. Man so refreshing to wake up at 10 to go skiing. Came back home Sunday to a working car. Apparently the hose connecting to the thermostat was stuck so the car didn't know when to start cooling down or something like that. A quick 80 buck repair plus flushing of the coolant. Awesome.
Now I await more good news.

I promised myself I would stop updating this page with the old rhetoric. "I have nothing to say so I say nothing." or "I am too busy to write something." No more short crap stuff. I will update when I have time to do a proper entry. And today, I don't really have time to say all I want to say but I do have time to say something more than insignificant.
Traffic report:
Mustang drivers are slow. Two maroon mustangs went into the carpool lane and decide 70 mph was appropriate speed. Now, I am one of those who are quick to decisions. All mustang drivers are slow drivers. But really, a lot of sports cars I've seen lately have been going slow on the highways, 880 particularly. Now I am talking about the exotics, S2000, Jaguar XK8, Corvette, etc. And the staple mates, Mustang, Camaro, etc. Funny how the econo Civics, WRX's, Preludes, Celicas, still remain fast. I think it's quite simple. Asian punks drive these imports. They care for nothing but speed. And then white males who have grown in yeras beyond the 20's are trying to hold onto their youth with domestics.... OH yeah, stereotyping is fun. But please, I just a Civic DX w/ barely 96 hp in front of me than a 195 V6 Mustang. They know what to with horsepower.
BUSY BUSY BUSY is my motto the past week. So much to do. I can't even begin to start. Let's just summarize.
Mon - Dinner w/ Yen remenisce (Crap too hard to spell)
Tue - Bought Honda Odyssey, Nice Van
Wed - Picked it up
Thu - Forgot, but trust me, I was extremely busy
Fri - Dinner w/ Nga and Deepak watched 10 days to get rid of guy or whatever
KICK ARSE MOVIE!
Sat - Went skiing for the weekend
Sun - Came home and Tried to install Kim's Nga's Stereo. Failed

Tue - Watched Chang get wooped by Agassi, Thanks for Cup Nam
Wed - Enterprise is a bad show but I love it. Went to Fry's with Nam
Thu - Installed cd player into Odyssey, Round robin with Integra and Accord
Fri - Dinner with Yen, Hoang, and Ernest. Watched DareDevil. Good movie, bad ending.
Sat - Called deepak to cancel because I am a cornFlake. Tried to install Kim's Nga's stereo. Deja Vu
Sun - Took Kim's Nga's stereo to be installed at a shop. 90 bucks because of stock AMP. SON OF A COW! Picked up parents from airport.
Mon - Clean house and watched Joe millionaire. Damm Fox is good!
Tue - Called up 21st Century and asked why no insurance papers yet. Had to redo everything so hopefully fully insured now.
Currently watching Anne of Green Gables, Anne of Avonlea, and Anne of Green Gables: The Continuing Story. Dang I am a chick flick fan. YES thats right, you will see me watching Golden Girls on the Womens Entertainment Channel every once in awhile. WHO cares? Proud of it! I like a good romance SO THERE!

There's this girl who works the front desk at one of my spots. Everyday I look forward to seeing her. She never says anything to me and vice versa. She only works somedays not all. But I always hope that she is there. She reminds me of Nam's Christina Aguilera. Remember how Nam used to say some girl in his (advertising? architecture? whatever some 'A' word) class looked like Christina Aguilera? By the time the rest of us gets to see her, she looks like any other blond out there. Nowhere close to resembling Christina besides being a white blond female. The point is when you are at a boring place, you imagine things. There's also the different color theory like the green I see in my eyes is actually blue in someone else's eye. If switching bodies were possible we would see that color is up to that person's interpretation. So maybe Nam does see Christina in her. I'm getting off on a tangent here.
Anyway, back to the point. I think this girl is incredibly hot. She may not be hot but I need her to be hot so that I have something to look forward to at work. I'm thinking if anyone else saw her, she would be just another asian chick. She drives a little maroon Mercury Mystique. Ford Contour twin to those of you that are automobile trivia challenged. She has a cute white sticker over her gas tank door just like the pochacco I have on my accord. You have to find things that help you get through the day. Or maybe just I do.
On a parallel with life, it's always good to have a prospect in your eyes. A goal, something to achieve. The past 3-4 years, no one out there has even come close in my eyes. Am I turning anal like Nam? And why am I referring to Nam so much? Life is more interesting when you can look forward to seeing someone you really like. I miss those days in high school when casual conversation on school grounds are all you have in getting to know someone. They have their front and you have your mask. No one knows each other well and so it was easy to be attracted to her. Now, I often find myself searching for faults in her. She laughs weird. She walks funny. She washes her hair with stinky shampoo. Anything to put her out of the picture.
My hot asian chick suffers none of those faults. She's perfect in every way because I only see the image.

I was driving down 880 the other day on the left lane. This old camry rolled on by on the right lane. I usually leave plenty of space in front because 1. I have bad brakes. 2. I hate wasting gas. 3. I am too lazy to watch the guys bumper and brake all the time. So this camry sees his opportunity to change lanes in front of me. No problem here. He has one of the older boxy style camrys. Usually they have been handed down to youngsters by now and the little old asian ladies drive the newer ones. I look in the window and the guy seems fairly young, low 30's.
But as Nam laments, "Camry drivers suck." I guess it doesn't matter who drives. It's that they are in the camry so they must be slow. I see the car in front of the camry get further and further ahead. No problem change lanes and cut in front of him. We've been going speed limit the whole time. The camry never saw fit to exceed that. So I figure I am safe from this guy since I am doing about 72 now.
To my dismay 1/4 mile up the road I see the camry in the right lane trying to get in my lane again. What the heck? He didn't want to do past 65 the whole time he was in front of me and now he catches up? Didn't make sense but I didn't want him in front of me again so I honked and sped up. He relented as I saw him get smaller and smaller in my rearview.
Some crazy mustang in front of me started doing 95. YES. I love following fast people. So I step on the gas and enjoy the blurring scenery. About a mile later I see that grey camry come in fast from the right lane and cut in front me. What the heck? He must have done over a 100 to catch up to me and do something like that so fast. OK, now I have been criticised for varying my speed a lot by Ky and Deepak who have to follow me and find it annoying. But the camry. I just don't understand. Well, I thought fine, I guess he can go fast. Stay in front of me. I am in no hurry.
But no. Damm camry drivers. He starts to slow down to 65 again and I see the mustang disappear into the horizon. Now I am pissed. What is going on? Is he doing some kind of revenge? Does he find it fun? Doesn't seem like it because the car didn't swerve or anything. No middle finger in the window.
There was an accident today on 680. It got me to thinking. I always thought that I was a pretty morbid person. Bordering on sick and disgusting. I enjoy watching people get hurt. Especially now that the internet is able to serve it at a steady pace, it's gotten me completely fascinated. I watched dead people get cremated. I watched various people walking across the street and get creamed in an instant by a passing car. I'm talking about real life amatuer videos here. These are people dying for real. I watched people bleed to death. Why was I so interested in these events? I decided that I can't do this anymore. I am just going to shield myself from things like this. No more looking.
The videos and phone conversations of 9/11 were being released by the government and people debated on why they should be released. We all know what happend. Do we actually have to see and hear it ourselves? What knowledge does it give us?
Today, as I pass by yet another traffic accident seeing that traffic going in both directions is slowed by this scene, I realize. I am not morbid. At least not as much as you people. The guy braking in front of me for no reason but to turn his head to watch is morbid. I guys on the other side of the freeway, slowing down instead of going home is morbid. Reality shows, COPS, Fear Factor... yeesh. I am like those crtics now. We are being desensitized. So much that fake doesn't work for us anymore. We need to see the actual real stuff. No matter how inappropriate it is. No matter how much it inconveniences traffic. Robots. The lot of them. Vulcans purge their emotions through deep meditation and constant perserverance. We do it by engulfing ourselves in it everyday until it all becomes numb.
I hate having to slow down.

It's been quite a busy couple of days. Coming home at 10PM makes updating quite difficult. I'll recap as soon as I find time. For the meantime. 3.5 litre 240 HP 5 speed automatic.

Was supposed to be Nga but as number 2 of my trio of cancelations, this outing was nullified as well. Excuse was Dad wanted her home for New Year's Eve. Which is very valid. She gets off at 9PM and I don't really care to go out that later anyway.
What really irks me is the lateness in the cancelation. Same lateness as yesterday. I didn't eat anything all day figuring I'd get something nice later on. So 9PM and I am just barely remembering the soup I had at noon. I decided to call my trusty always free friend, Nam-kun. Nam says he going to watch The Recruit with Kim and I could tag along if I liked. I thought, a white Training Day. Why not. One thing did poke through my head though. Why didn't he invite me earlier? But I knew better of Kimism. That's how we do things to keep it simple.
The movie kicked serious ass. I absolutely loved it. I didn't like the covering up of the female lead though. Here's my take on it. If you're going to show it. Then show it. If you're not then create angles for the camera so that you can't see it. Think of it this way, you just got laid but the chick still covers herself up. She keeps holding her cover up. Seems incredibly fake. Are you trying to be tittilating? I really don't understand. People don't do things like that.
Had some good pizza with Kim. Hecka expensive though.
Driving home, Kim and I discussed our plans for tomorrow. Tentatively, we were going to go to Copeland's and return and then head off to Benihana's. Nam seemed a bit quiet but jumped to life when I asked him to come along. I didn't ask him. He asked me to ask him. I think... hmm...
Saturday
Nam picked me up and we 3 went to Spaghetti Factory. Previous experience told me this place sucked. But today was quite good. Mushroom sause, yum yum. Good garlic cheese bread. Went to Copeland's and returned the goggles and got myself a pair of oakley's instead. Kim's going to order it for me. JOY! Asked Nam to get me DS9 season 1 instead and return jacket. He told me extra money available. Family Guy, here I come. Man, THE JOY OF SHOPPING WITH OTHER PEOPLE'S money. Nothing finer. Kim and Nam both got a pair of shoes I think.
I guess I have been dressing too bummy lately. Kim asked me if I would ever dress up nicely like Nam today. Oh yeah, Nam was dressed up really nice today while Kim and I were just blech. So I said, I used to when I worked at DMI. But since I don't anymore I don't see why. "You used to dress up nice?" So we asked Nam if he remembered I used to dress up nice. He looked bewildered. OHMYGOSH. I am a bum! I am one of those homeless wynos I complain about. No one remembers when I used to wear pants and sweaters? I mean what is your definition of nice anyway? Grrrrrr.... I look like a homeless person too often and I embarassing my friends. This wouldn't be ver impactful if Ying Ying hadn't already noted to me of it. Oh well.....
Deepak calls afterwards to cancel. Strike three. Dammit, why didn't you call on Friday or Thursday so that I can at least drive my own ass out on Saturday. I'll go on my own if I can't find anyone. But I can't very well go on a Sunday by myself. Yeesh. Last minute cancelations. I sure hope this is the end of it.
Went to Ky's house later that night for game night. I was thoroughly pissed so I said screw you meat. I WILL CHOMP YOU GOOD! Had to do something to work off this steam. Watched this movie called, "I married an 18 year old" I thought it was an appropriate movie. The day ended quite satisfactory.

Ok before I show you this, let me give a short history. This chick ims me out of nowhere 2 weeks ago asking me who I was and why I was on her buddy list. I had no idea and said I was John and probably a friend of a sister of her's. She said John stockholm? or something like that and I said nope. And then she said, sorry to bother you, bye. Well I got the following from her today. I hope you enjoy...
rockqueen84z (9:37:12 PM): who is this, u were on my bl and i dont know u...
rockqueen84z (9:37:18 PM): i am sarah grace by the way
Twilight Dancing (9:37:44 PM): oh gosh sarah, you don't remember asking me this question about 2 weeks ago?
rockqueen84z (9:38:03 PM): no...not really sorry
rockqueen84z (9:38:08 PM): who is this?
Twilight Dancing (9:38:49 PM): I said I am John and probably a friend of one of yoursiblings and I have no idea who john stockholm or forgot what last name you used was
rockqueen84z (9:39:34 PM): oh, how old r u?
Twilight Dancing (9:40:19 PM): I'm 42 why
rockqueen84z (9:40:43 PM): o...srry, i think i am a little bit too young for u
Twilight Dancing (9:41:16 PM): yeah I figured as much, maybe you should just take my name off your buddy list. That way you won't forget next time.
Aren't people stupid. The rest of the conversation is on the bottom. I only put it there for completeness. But there is no reason to read it. I finally decided to end the conversation but couldn't think of a good way. So I thought of how Brandon ims me. Always leave me with nothing to comment on. And so, "None, sorry." seemed appropriate and it worked.
rockqueen84z (9:41:41 PM): no, well do u have any kids
rockqueen84z (9:41:44 PM): ???
Twilight Dancing (9:42:16 PM): no I don't have any kids and don't plan to either.
rockqueen84z (9:42:34 PM): are you married?
Twilight Dancing (9:42:53 PM): nope
rockqueen84z (9:43:24 PM): do u have a girlfriend?
rockqueen84z (9:45:02 PM): ?????
rockqueen84z (9:46:30 PM): y aren't u answering me?
Twilight Dancing (9:46:58 PM): kim just called, was talking to her, sorry
rockqueen84z (9:47:14 PM): who is kim?
rockqueen84z (9:47:26 PM): is that ur girlfriend?
Twilight Dancing (9:47:30 PM): kim is my friend
rockqueen84z (9:47:48 PM): girlfriend?
Twilight Dancing (9:47:58 PM): hey, answer me this, how old are you?
rockqueen84z (9:48:16 PM): 25
rockqueen84z (9:48:27 PM): well not really, i just act 25
Twilight Dancing (9:48:40 PM): 25, let's see if I know... hmm anyone around that age.. hmmmm
Twilight Dancing (9:49:28 PM): no not my girlfriend, are you still in school?
rockqueen84z (9:51:13 PM): who wants to know?
Twilight Dancing (9:52:19 PM): that would be me. trying to figure out why you aren't asleep yet to go to school tomorrow when it's 11:30
rockqueen84z (9:52:40 PM): well anyways, yes i am...i know i'm a lil too young, but it's not illegal for us just to chat........
Twilight Dancing (9:54:12 PM): huh? if you're up late you won't be fully awake in class. And that is just a shame especially when you have no idea who I am
rockqueen84z (9:55:21 PM): i know, but i'll just play hookie tomorrow...
Twilight Dancing (9:56:22 PM): well, make it a worthy day. Do something exciting
rockqueen84z (9:56:35 PM): i will, get laid
rockqueen84z (9:57:40 PM): meaning, i will fuck sum1
Twilight Dancing (9:57:54 PM): heheh, we old timers understand you younguns lingo
Twilight Dancing (10:01:06 PM): I was on kazaa downloading some tv series one day a while back. This guy starting downloading something off me and commented on why I don't have some more episodes to download. He proceeded to help me out find some more. I gave him this sn and he started talking about mirc and how easy it is. Then he started asking who I am, where I live. and blah blah. To which I declined and he kept enquiring. I blocked his sn because i just didn't want to do this type of im. Especially to a guy. He then signed on with another sn. I am thinking that sn is the one I iming right now. That's my current theory anyway on why you have my sn on your list
rockqueen84z (10:01:09 PM): so what r u gon do tommorow?
Twilight Dancing (10:01:36 PM): go to work, eat, go out with Yen and then watch some more crappy tv
rockqueen84z (10:02:10 PM): ok...gonna fuck yen?
rockqueen84z (10:02:16 PM): well is that a grl?

rockqueen84z (9:39:34 PM): oh, how old r u?

Twilight Dancing (9:47:58 PM): hey, answer me this, how old are you?
rockqueen84z (9:48:16 PM): 25

Was supposed to be Yen, but she bailed on me at the last minute. Which isn't all that surprising because as I said earlier, I didn't confirm with her the day before. Bad things happen in triplets. I heard that from someone and he will be proved correct in the subsequent days.
My family had wanted me to ditch Yen in favor of them celebrating my birthday today because everyone's schedule was free on this all for one day. I told them no, it's wrong. Well, everything fits in quite well then.
We decided on Cheesecake Factory. The place I was denied last night. Vegetarian meals were sparse and unappetizing. Unfortunately so were the meaty meals. I chose the sirloin steak. MEDIUM RARE. My brother's gf also ordered a steak MEDIUM. Both our steaks came out extra done. I opted to get it recooked, not gonna waste my non vegetarian day on a dry steak. It came out extra rare. Of course a third time gets you spit. But I chose that option anyway. Cheesecake Factory food is awful. Everyone was unsatisfied with their plates. Never again. Dessert was quite good though. Great Tiramisu. Everyone said it was alcohol rich. I tasted nothing. Where is my rum. Yep, I've turned into an alcoholic. Something I want to be anyway. The night ended well.

I've asked Ying Ying out a few times the past couple of months, but each time something came up or something went awry. She has this thing where she doesn't call you the day before. And I have this thing where if you don't call the day before, most likely it isn't going to happen. Case in point, Yen and Nga. But I will get to that in the next couple of entries.
So time and time again plans fell through. This time, however, I decided, if I made it a little more spontaneous and quicker. No more scheduling at the end of the week. Let's do it tomorrow. Well she opted for Wednesday instead of Tuesday. I called her on Tuesday and lo and behold I see her parked in front of my house at 6:08 PM in her yellow Lancer wearing a nice pink top. She lost some more weight I see. Wonder if she is eating well.
I'm a little late because I told her to come at 6. So I decided I wouldn't change out of my work clothes. Dumb mistake. She's like that sometimes. It's about the presentation. I should have remembered. You should dress nicely when you go out. Oh well, I decided bummy was better than super late. And she commented on that. "This is how you dress to see me?" Not mean at all. If that is the impression you get. Hey, I would expect you to dress nicely for me too. Just think of the many times Nam criticized Kim's clothes.... hehehe. Anyway we decided on going to Cheesecake Factory. I thought we could go get the tag and then shop around a bit at Valley Fair. I still have to go find something for Yen. Ying Ying is a pretty good shopper. She directed me to Tiffany's and we found a really nice item for Yen. Took no more than 10 minutes.
Heading back, we passed this Sushi Bar or whatever it is called. DISCLAIMER: SUSHI WHATEVER AT VALLEY FAIR SUCKS ARSE! DON'T GO THERE! Ying Ying didn't want to wait anymore so suggested we go in. I care not. If she likes Sushi why not. My vegetarianism is gonna make all food suck anyway. I had some cucumber rolls. And that was it. There wasn't any other veggie style rolls. So according to my rules I can have some meat. Tried the Unagi, nice hard rice. Thanks for leaving it out for so long Mr Chef. Hard seaweed on a lot of the sushi. Man this place sucks. Ying Ying kept urging me to try this orange raw fish draped across this thingie. Now, you know me. I don't eat raw fish. I tried tuna and that's it. Somehow, I can't say no to her. I never have been able to. So in my mouth it goes. "It melts in your mouth don't it?" Oh yeah it does. Tastes damm good. I can't believe how good it tastes. No fishy fleshy feeling at all. I'm definitely not trying another one even though... because it's raw fish. The thought of raw fish... ugh...
Ying Ying seems to have her life in order now. Going to school. Transfering to UC. Doing business. I only wish I could believe her. Dreambuster? Some people are capable and some people are not. I don't like to be a dreambuster though. So this is all I will say.
Dinner came out to 37 bucks. How the heck did it come to that? We only ate 6 plates or so. Food was terrible. She fought for the receipt, fine I like money anyway. Went home and that was that. Pretty pleasant evening.
